Historic Willamette

Willamette is more than just a neighborhood in Clackamas County’s city of West Linn. It is both the historic core of town, providing a sense of community and place, and a group of volunteer merchants and residents dedicated to preserving small town charm and a healthy economy among great shops, services and restaurants. Implementing the Main Street Four Point Approach™, which has been successful in over 1,800 cities and towns across America, will attain these goals. The four points include the Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Restructuring of the Main Street area.

Mission

The Willamette Main Street Organization will support and empower fellow community members striving to develop the project based on the principles of the National Main Street Program, to make Willamette a desired place to visit, work, shop, dine and, most importantly, connect with other people.

Vision

Located in West Linn, Oregon, the Historic Willamette district is a thriving and vibrant mix of economically viable and unique businesses, activities, restaurants and housing that serves to attract local citizens and visitors and to entice future residents and businesses to relocate into the area. As the heart and soul of our historic community, it connects us with each other, to our rich heritage as a community and to the larger metropolitan area.
