We’re Hiring: Event Setup & Takedown Crew Member for the 2026 Wednesdays in Willamette Market

Historic Willamette Main Street is seeking a dependable, physically capable Event Setup and Takedown Crew Member to support the Wednesdays in Willamette Summer Street Market and other community events during the 2026 season.

If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, and helping bring community events to life behind the scenes, this could be a great fit.

About the Position

This part-time, seasonal role plays an essential operational role in ensuring our events are set up safely, efficiently, and professionally. You’ll help prepare the district before events begin and assist with breaking everything down afterward so equipment is stored properly, and the area is left clean and safe.

  • Location: Historic Willamette Business District, West Linn
  • Market Season: May 13 – September 9, 2026 (Wednesdays required)
  • Schedule: Event-based; typically about 2 hours before and 2 hours after events
  • Pay: $16.50 per hour

Additional paid opportunities may be available for other Historic Willamette Main Street events throughout the year, depending on availability and staffing needs.

What You’ll Do

Before Events:

  • Place road closure signage and barricades
  • Transport equipment from the storage trailer
  • Set up tents, tables, chairs, and event areas
  • Fill and secure water weights and anchors
  • Help set up HWMS booths and management areas
  • Conduct a site walk to check cleanliness and safety

After Events:

  • Take down tents, tables, chairs, and booth areas
  • Return signage, barricades, and equipment to storage
  • Perform a final sweep for debris or leftover materials
  • Empty HWMS trash/recycling and nearby overflowing receptacles if needed
  • Report any equipment or safety concerns to the Market/Event Manager
